Our lab develops optical, imaging, and microscopy technologies and analytic methods to address biological questions. We have a special focus in label-free and coherence-based imaging, which uses the optical properties of cells and tissues as contrast to study biological systems in their natural state. Our work combines imaging, instrumentation, biology, and advanced data analysis techniques.
We are currently recruiting PhD students for Spring and Fall admission. Interested students should send a CV to Dr. Steelman at zsteelman@tamu.edu. Research opportunities are also available for undergraduates.
