Dr. Steelman Awarded Cancer Center of Excellence (TREC) Funding
Feb 2026 – Dr. Steelman’s proposal, “Noninvasive Gastrointestinal Cancer Screening using Advanced Light Scattering Tools” was selected for funding by the Texas A&M Center of Excellence in Cancer Research (TREC)! The proposal seeks to develop light scattering tools to identify nuclear wrinkling as a non-invasive optical biomarker for cancer.
